G.R.A.C.E. Homeschool Association
(Growing Rich Around Christian Education)
Our name,
"GRACE" stands for Growing Rich Around Christian Education. We want to be a
Christian group that helps one another spiritually as well as educationally. We
all may have some different philosophies about education, and may have some
different spiritual beliefs, but basically, this is what we mean by being a
"Christian" group:
-
We believe in one eternal Creator God
in three persons - the Father, Jesus Christ the Son and the Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ, born of a virgin, was God come in the flesh being fully God
and fully man, yet without sin. We seek to live our life to glorify our
Lord, worship and revere Him, and seek His help.
-
We believe the Bible is the only and
complete living Word of God which He uses to speak to our hearts and which
gives us instruction in all areas of life. In His sovereign power, He has
kept it without error and the final authority on what is truth.
-
We believe that all men are sinners
who fall short of the holiness that God intended, requiring eternal
punishment, and yet can be redeemed through the work of the Lord Jesus
Christ. He became the perfect sacrifice to pay our penalty through His
death on the cross. We can participate in His death and resurrection
through repentance of our sin and faith in Him. This salvation is a free
gift, not depending on our personal works, but results in godly actions.
-
We believe the family is the basic
governmental, social and spiritual unit created by God. In it, the child
gradually learns self-government, social relationships, and develops a
relationship to the Creator and Savior. The ultimate responsibility for the
education of the children belongs to parents. All education is religious in
nature since one's view o the world and life inevitably is involved in
teaching. Thus, all knowledge and training should have as its beginning the
fear of God and its end the glory of God. In all these we hope to encourage
one another. If you are seeking this kind of fellowship and support group,
we welcome you.
